Teresa is the Finance Director for Poltair and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. 

She joined Poltair after a brief planned career break after more than thirty years in professional practice.  Following a period of commercial experience, Teresa moved to work in practice . She was a partner in a well respected regional firm before setting up her own practice in 1997, subsequently merging to became part of Thomas Westcott.

Teresa enjoys the challenge of finding solutions that aren't always the obvious answer.  Throughout her career, her aim has been to be approachable, to explain issues in straightforward terms and believes trying to understand your aims and how they fit in with your life is critical, before setting plans and making changes.

Teresa has significant business development and corporate experience gained working for and with a range of inspiring clients of all sizes, both commercial and charitable.

Specialisms and interests include:

  • Considering new and existing businesses and activities, structure, formation, business planning and development.

  • Forecasting, budgeting, linking management information systems and simplified reporting.

  • Tax planning and compliance

  • Support and guidance for charities and voluntary organisations.

  • Training and mentoring (Accredited mentor and C&G qualifications in further and adult education and training).

Outside her career she is a Trustee and active member of the Management Group for the Exmoor Calvert Trust, Trustee and Treasurer of the North Devon Hospice and a listening volunteer and trainer for another wonderful charity.
