I Joined Poltair as Contracts Manager Nov. 2025. 

I started my Career with John Mowlem Subsidiary Unit Construction, Liverpool as a Management Trainee.  Alternating between Site and Head Office I gained working experience of all parts of the business whilst attending College and Polytechnic on a day-release basis over a 5 year period. 

Mid 80s I relocated to Devon to work on the construction of the Torbay Conference Centre as a Site Engineer.  After I began working as a Freelance Setting-Out Engineer and worked on signature projects such as the Honda Factory – Swindon, A30 Okehampton By-Pass, A38 Saltash By-Pass, Brixham Harbour Extension and several Residential Infrastructure schemes.

I progressed into Site Management with a Devon Based Civil Engineering Contractor who specialised with Insitu-Concrete Structures, Earth-Moving and turn-key construction of Steel Framed Factory/Business units. 

Mid 90s I Joined Wilmott Dixon Management as Site Manager for the  250.000 Sq.Ft Steel Framed  R&D Facility for Nortel Communications, Paignton – This building and grounds was later acquired and is now the Campus of South Devon College. 

After Willmott Dixon I joined Kier Western as Devon Area Manager for their Small Works Business based at Exeter.  Kier Group later formed a new trading division incorporating all the Kier small works businesses across South Wales, South Coast and South West named Kier FM Services.  I was appointed Regional Manager to lead the Business, including 50 + Staff across 7 local area offices.  Reported on P&L direct to Kier Regional Board.  During this period in addition to responsibilities of P&L I was instrumental in modernizing the business from a paper-based system to digital and developing commercial and IT procedures to manage the Workflow, efficiency of the Workforce and the Cashflow. 

2003 Joined ROK Property Solutions as Cornwall Area Manager and relocated to Truro.  Responsible for P&L and lead the Team with a remit to grow the business.  Over a 2 year period successfully evolved the business from a small works / maintenance contractor to undertaking larger building contracts and new build social housing works. 

2005 Founded my own Building Business undertaking Extensions, Alterations and New-Buildings. Traded successfully for 6 Years before contracting with Developers and succumbing to the Financial Crisis of the time.
