I began my career in construction in Australia, where I completed a carpentry apprenticeship before spending several years working as a self-employed carpenter and sub-contractor across residential new builds, renovations and extensions. 

In 2011 I moved into a site supervisor and foreman role with Souter Constructions in New South Wales, managing employees and sub-contractors across a range of medium to high-end residential projects.

 

I relocated to the UK in 2007 for a period, working on residential renovation and extension projects in London, before eventually settling in North Devon with my family. Since returning to the UK permanently I have worked as a Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager for Vistry Homes and Baker Estates, where I was part of an award-winning team at the Chivenor site — picking up the NHBC Pride in the Job award and Seal of Excellence in 2019. I am passionate about delivering a high-quality product in a safe and well-organised environment.

 

Outside of work I enjoy surfing, walking and spending time with the family — the North Devon coastline is hard to beat for all three.
