After leaving school in 2001, I went straight into the construction industry, initially working as a Dry Liner for 3 years on various new build schemes in and around Cornwall. Following this I went on to do my Carpentry apprenticeship in which I achieved my NVQ4 qualification. During my time as a carpenter I worked at Retallack Resort and Spa in Cornwall, building new timber frame cabins, during which time I moved into a managerial role, overseeing and organising these builds. 

 

In 2012 I moved permanently into Project Managing, and continued managing the erection of timber frames at Retallack, before joining Verto Homes where I Project Managed new build developments of high end town houses in and around Newquay. During my time Project Managing for Verto Homes, I also took on a commercial role alongside Project Management and this subsequently led to me carrying out a postgraduate degree in Quantity Surveying achieving a 2:1 BSc Hons. I carried this out in the evenings and weekends through a ‘distance learning’ programme, whilst still working full-time as a PM&QS and I also had the great opportunity to build my own house during this period also. 

 

In 2018 I joined a Donforni Ltd and worked here for 7yrs, in which time I’ve managed new build housing schemes from 2-20 units. These have varied from new estates of executive style detached properties, to high end townhouses and apartments on the cliffs on Newquay, to developments as far away as Kent and Dover. 

 

Since joining Poltair in 2025, I have worked on the delivery of 7 new industrial units on Bodmin and I’m looking forward to being involved in new and exciting opportunities moving forward. 

 

In my spare time I like to spend lots of time with my family and when possible be at the beach enjoying the sun, sea and sand. When we’re not on the beach I can be found coaching my sons U9’s football team in Newquay.
