Gerry Barnicoat

Gerry co founded Poltair Homes along side Paul Stephens back in 1997. Since then, with Paul, he has helped oversee the delivery of over 500 houses by Poltair Homes in Cornwall & Devon. The initial philosophy of Gerry & Paul was to build better quality houses with bigger sized rooms and gardens, in good locations as family houses.

Gerry has spent the majority of his working carrer in the construction industry. Initially coming from the construction side of development Gerry has worked for companies such as Pearce and Larks Construction to name a few. Gerry felt that with Paul’s experience on the legal and planning side that the two skillsets married together very well. Gerry would oversee the construction side of the business whilst Paul would deal with the Planning permissions and land finding.

Now days Gerry leaves the day to day management of the business to the other 4 directors, swapping Construction sites for Campsites. Although Gerry still always attends Poltair Board meetings and stays in regular contact with the rest of the team.
